GG Tech Labs built this app as a utility app. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our mobile applications.

By using our app, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect

1. Information You Enter in the App

Our app allows you to enter values such as loan amounts, interest rates, tenure, investment amounts, dates, and other calculation-related inputs.

If you use the optional Financial Tracker, you may also record ongoing details of your own loans, deposits, investments, and savings schemes — for example account start dates, contribution amounts, current balances you enter yourself, savings goals, and notes about each tracked item.

All of this information is used only to perform calculations, track progress, and display results inside the app. It is processed and stored locally on your device only. We do not transmit your calculation inputs or tracker entries to any server operated by us.

We do not collect or store personally identifiable information such as your name, phone number, address, Aadhaar number, PAN number, bank account details, passwords, or payment information.

2. Automatically Collected Information (Analytics)

Our app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to collect usage analytics. This helps us understand how users interact with the app so we can improve it over time.

Firebase Analytics automatically collects the following types of information:

  • App session duration and frequency of use
  • Device information such as device model, operating system version, and screen size
  • A Firebase installation ID (a randomly generated identifier for the app install — not linked to your personal identity)
  • App version and language/region settings

In addition, the app records anonymous events describing which features are used, so we can see what is useful and what is not. These events include:

  • Which calculator was opened, which produced a result, and which was exported or added to favourites (identified only by a calculator name such as "loan" or "sip")
  • Opening history, reopening a saved calculation, browsing a category, or viewing all calculators
  • Completing the initial onboarding, and changing the app theme (light/dark)
  • Tracker usage — opening the tracker or its insights, adding, opening, updating or removing a tracked item, setting a reminder, setting a goal, or running a net-worth projection
  • When a premium upgrade screen was shown and from which part of the app, and when a purchase completed (identified only by the product ID)

These events carry only feature identifiers and coarse non-financial numbers (for example the number of years chosen for a projection, or a target year for a goal). They do not carry the amounts, balances, rates, or any other financial figures you enter.

We do not collect your name, email, financial figures you enter, or any personally identifiable information through analytics. You can switch analytics collection off at any time — see Your Choices and Controls below.

3. Crash and Diagnostics Data

Our app uses Firebase Crashlytics to automatically collect crash reports and diagnostic information when the app encounters an error. This helps us identify and fix bugs to improve app stability.

Crashlytics may collect the following types of information:

  • Stack traces and error logs at the time of a crash
  • Device state information such as available memory, battery level, and OS version
  • A randomly generated Crashlytics installation UUID (not linked to your personal identity)
  • App version at the time of the crash
  • Timestamp of the crash

Crash reports do not include the financial values you enter into the app.

4. Advertising Information

Our app displays ads using Google AdMob. AdMob may use an advertising identifier (such as Android Advertising ID) to show relevant ads. You can reset or opt out of personalized advertising from your device settings under Google → Ads.

Where an ongoing consent choice is legally required (for example in the European Economic Area and the UK), the app shows a consent form on first launch and provides a "Manage ad consent" option in Settings so you can review or change that choice at any time.

5. In-App Purchase Information

Our app offers optional premium features/content available through in-app purchases and/or subscriptions, processed entirely by Google Play Billing.

We do not collect, see, or store your payment method, card number, or billing address. Google Play handles all payment processing and shares only your purchase status (e.g. product ID purchased, purchase token, entitlement state) with our app so it can unlock the corresponding feature. Refunds, subscription management, and cancellations are handled directly through your Google Play account.

6. Google Drive Backup Information

Our app offers an optional cloud backup feature that lets you back up your app data (calculation history, tracker entries, saved inputs, preferences) to your own Google Drive account.

This feature requires you to sign in with your Google account (via Google Sign-In). When you do, the app receives your Google account's email address and basic profile information from Google, solely to display which account is connected and to authorise access to Drive. This information stays on your device and is never transmitted to us or to any third party.

Backups are encrypted before upload and stored in a hidden, app-private space called appDataFolder — this space is scoped only to our app's own data (OAuth scope drive.appdata), does not appear in your regular Google Drive file list, and cannot be accessed by us, by Google Drive apps, or by any other app. Only you, signed in with your Google account, can restore this data back into the app.

You can remove app backups at any time by using the in-app "Delete backup" option, signing out of the backup feature, or by revoking the app's Drive access from your Google Account permissions page — this permanently deletes the app-private backup data from Drive.

7. Notifications and Reminders

The app can send you optional reminders for items you track — for example an upcoming EMI or a scheduled contribution. If you set a reminder, the app asks for notification permission and schedules it entirely on your device using Android's built-in scheduling.

Reminders are not push notifications: no reminder content, schedule, or tracked item ever leaves your device, and we do not operate a notification server. You can cancel individual reminders inside the app, or disable notifications for the app entirely from your device settings at any time.

8. Home-Screen Widgets

The app offers optional home-screen widgets (for example net worth, goal progress, favourites, and quick calculations). If you add a widget, the values it displays are drawn from data already stored on your device and are rendered by your device's launcher.

Please note that widget content may therefore be visible to anyone who can see your home screen — and, depending on your device settings, your lock screen. No widget data is transmitted anywhere. Removing the widget stops it being displayed.

9. Exported Files

When you use an export feature, the app writes an Excel or PDF file containing your calculation results into the app's own private folder on your device's storage. These files are created only when you ask for them, and are removed when the app is uninstalled.

An exported file leaves the app only if you choose to share or open it — for example sending it by email or messaging app. At that point the receiving app and recipient handle it under their own policies, not ours. We never upload exported files.

10. Android System Backup

Android's own backup service may include this app's locally stored data (such as history and preferences) in the device backup associated with your Google account, if you have device backup enabled in your Android settings. This is a system feature managed by Google and your device settings, not by us; your premium purchase state is deliberately excluded from it. You can turn device backup off in your Android system settings.

11. Interest Rate Updates and Voucher Codes

The app uses Firebase Realtime Database (a Google service) for two limited, non-personal purposes:

  • Current interest rates — the app periodically downloads up-to-date scheme interest rates so calculations reflect current figures. This is a one-way download. No information about you, your device, or your calculations is sent in order to fetch them.
  • Promotional voucher codes — if you choose to enter a promotional code to unlock premium features, the app sends only that code to check whether it is valid and unused, and to mark it as used. The code is not linked to your name, email, or device identity, and the code itself is not stored on your device.

We do not upload your calculations, tracker entries, or any personal information to this database, and it is never used to store user data.

Third-Party Services

Our app uses the following third-party services. Each operates under its own privacy policy:

  • Google Play Services — required for core Android functionality
  • Google AdMob — displays advertisements within the app
  • Google Analytics for Firebase — collects anonymous app usage analytics
  • Firebase Crashlytics — collects crash reports and diagnostic data to improve app stability
  • Google Play Billing — processes in-app purchases and subscriptions
  • Google Sign-In & Google Drive API — used only for the optional cloud backup feature, restricted to the app-private appDataFolder scope
  • Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) — collects and records your advertising consent choice where required by law
  • Firebase Realtime Database — used only to download current interest rates and to validate promotional voucher codes; no user data is stored in it

You can review their privacy policies here:

How We Use Information

Information collected may be used for the following purposes:

  • To provide app features and perform financial calculations
  • To track the progress of items you have chosen to add to the Financial Tracker
  • To understand which calculators and features are most useful to users
  • To improve app performance and fix issues
  • To detect, diagnose, and fix app crashes and errors
  • To show ads within the app
  • To process optional in-app purchases/subscriptions and unlock purchased features
  • To send reminders you have set up yourself, and to display any home-screen widgets you have added
  • To back up and restore your app data to/from your own Google Drive, if you enable this optional feature
  • To maintain app security and prevent misuse

Advertising

Our app displays ads using Google AdMob. Advertising services may use cookies, advertising identifiers, or similar technologies to show personalized or non-personalized ads.

You can control ad personalization from your device settings or Google account settings, and — where the option is shown — from "Manage ad consent" in the app's Settings screen.

Data Storage

  • All calculation inputs, results, and tracker entries are processed and stored locally on your device only.
  • App preferences, favourites, saved calculation history, and reminder schedules are stored locally on your device.
  • Exported Excel/PDF files are stored in the app's private folder on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app.
  • Anonymous usage analytics are sent to Firebase (Google) servers as described above.
  • Crash reports and diagnostic data are sent to Firebase Crashlytics (Google) servers when the app encounters an error.
  • If you enable the optional cloud backup feature, an encrypted copy of your app data is stored in your own Google Drive account, in an app-private appDataFolder that only this app can access.
  • In-app purchase and subscription records are stored and managed by Google Play Billing under your Google account, not on our servers.
  • We hold no copy of your calculations, tracker entries, or personal information. The only data we maintain online is a list of scheme interest rates and promotional voucher codes, which contains no user information.
  • We do not sell your personal information.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent users' personal information to any third party.

Third-party services used in the app — such as Google AdMob, Google Analytics for Firebase, Firebase Crashlytics, and Google Play Services — may process data according to their own privacy policies as described in the Third-Party Services section above.

Data may also be shared when required by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable government request.

Your Choices and Controls

You remain in control of your data at all times:

  • Turn off analytics — Settings → Data & Privacy → opt out of usage analytics. No further analytics events are sent.
  • Manage ad consent — where legally required, Settings → Data & Privacy → Manage ad consent lets you change your advertising choice. You can also reset or opt out of the advertising identifier in your device settings.
  • Clear your data — Settings lets you clear saved inputs and delete your calculation history; tracked items can be removed individually from the tracker.
  • Delete your backup — remove the Drive backup from within the app, or revoke Drive access from your Google Account permissions page.
  • Disable notifications — cancel reminders in the app, or turn off notifications for the app in your device settings.
  • Delete everything — because all of your calculation and tracker data lives on your device, uninstalling the app removes it completely. If you also used cloud backup, delete the backup first, as it lives in your own Drive account.

If you would like any question about your data answered, or believe data has been collected in error, contact us at gg.tech.labs@gmail.com and we will respond as soon as reasonably possible.

Data Retention

Data you enter stays on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app — we do not retain it, because we never receive it. Anonymous analytics and crash data are retained by Google under the retention settings of Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics. Cloud backup data is retained in your own Google Drive until you delete it.

Children's Privacy

Our app is a financial utility tool intended for users who understand financial concepts such as loans, investments, and savings. It is not specifically directed at children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through our app, please contact us at gg.tech.labs@gmail.com so we can take appropriate action.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect user information. Your calculation and tracker data stays on your device and is never transmitted to our servers, and cloud backups are encrypted before they are uploaded to your own Drive. However, no method of electronic storage or internet transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security for data handled by third-party services or for data stored on a device you share with others.

Links to Other Websites

Our app may contain links to external websites such as Google Play Store pages or support resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third-party websites.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We recommend reviewing this page periodically for any updates.
